Frequently asked questions about ShArc pricing

Here we answer the most frequently asked questions from our customers about the costs of ShArc and other costs they will incur.

Do we have to pay when restoring files back to SharePoint? Restoring files from Azure Blob to SharePoint is free with ShArc. If the Blob container is configured to “Cold” or “Archive”, minor costs may be incurred in your Azure environment. If the Blob container is configured to “Hot”, there are also no costs from Azure side.

Do you manage the Azure Blob container? As ShArc is hosted entirely in your environment, Azure containers are also managed by you. We can provide you with resources to assist you.

Is there a discount for NGOs/educational organizations? Yes, NGOs and educational institutions receive 15% discount per TB on the software price. Please note that we have no direct influence on the Azure costs and therefore cannot offer a discount there. Contact our sales team to get a discount: sales@layer2solutions.com

Data if I don´t want to use ShArc anymore? You can restore all files back to SharePoint with one click if you don´t want to use ShArc any longer. If you cancel your subscription and don´t restore your data, only IT can restore the offloaded files.
